Content Leak: The PS4 port's icon appeared on PSN stores a day before its official unveiling.Somewhat downplayed since the DLC, which adds a more diverse array of songs inspired by a variety of genres from the '30s and '40s, including another song inspired by Brazilian music: "Snow Cult Scuffle", which skews closer to choro than samba.
Despite this, it's quite different stylistically from the rest of the soundtrack, as it's a samba song inspired by Duke Ellington's "Caravan" and the works of Carmen Miranda, rather than the more traditional big band swing of the rest of the soundtrack. ENCHANTED PORTALS DEVELOPER PC
The game is planned to be released on PC and Nintendo Switch. The Kickstarter campaign for Enchanted Portals begins on 24 October 2019. We’ll have to wait and see if that attention is the good or bad kind. It’s definitely helping them get a lot of attention. Why this saddens me is that it feels like they’ve got a bunch of skilled folks developing this game but they didn’t put in a lot of thought in the department of originality.Īren’t they worried about being ignored due to sentiments of being considered just a clone or reskin of Cuphead? Perhaps the developers actually want people to think that. It’s basically a one-to-one copy of Cuphead‘s 2D side-scrolling platformer gameplay. Once I got to see the gameplay, I felt a bit disappointed. It’s very obvious that there are talented people working on this. The character and enemy designs look great and the overall animation work is indeed beautiful. They’re working on a game that wears the aesthetics of 1930s cartoons, similar to Cuphead. The developers of Enchanted Portals have aroused very mixed feelings inside me.
